Troy
S. Raper - BME
Troy Raper is a Colorado native and has been teaching in the state
since 1988. Mr. Raper received his bachelors Degree in Music education
from the University of Northern Colorado where he graduated with
Honors. Mr. Raper is currently pursuing a Masters in Educational
Technology. He is currently teaching orchestra at Palisade High
School and Mt. Garfield
Middle School in Palisade, CO. Mr. Raper is an accomplished
musician with performing experience with the Greeley, Ft. Collins,
and Cheyenne Symphonies and currently sits as Principal Bassist
for the Grand Junction Symphony
Orchestra. Mr. Raper also performs regularly in various Jazz
Bands, recording studios, and as a concert soloist. In addition
to other duties Mr. Raper serves as Chair for the Colorado All State
Orchestra Governing Board, and as a board member of Colorado
Chapter of the American String Teachers Association - CASTA.
Mr. Raper enjoys working with young students and serves as a district
Liaison and Bass Instructor for the Colorado ASTA summer string
Camp. He maintains an active private studio
and serves as adjunct Bass teacher at Mesa State College. |
