Summer Class Information is available here..... Musical Mud Studios® has undergone major renovations over the past year. Below are some of the highlites. Drum Show 2003 will be held in Grand Junction, CO. in October. The specifics of the drum show are not yet leather hard but updates will be available as soon as we have taken the plans out of the kiln. Musical Instruments Our latest line of musical instruments, available to view here, are exciting and vibrant. We have recently found a new supplier of drum head materials that is far superior to our last supplier allowing us to create even better sounding drums. We have also refined the process of using Terra Sigillata to create Sgraffito designs on the drums the the results are striking.
Music Education The bass studio recently hosted a bass masterclass with Christopher Brown, Pricinipal Bass with the Saint Paul Chamber orchestra. It was a wonderful evening of bass playing and teaching.
Art Education Evening classes contine on a regular basis with Master Artist Lori Raper. These classes during the winter months allow adult student to spend time working in the studio and getting one-on-one individualized instruction with Mrs. Raper. Personal Growth We are proud to announce a new artist to our family. Our newest daughter Melody has begun her training in clay. Although only 15 months old, she has begun creating outstanding new work in clay body-art (That would be covering herself in clay and running around the house naked - you have to start somewhere!). Along with her sister Mandolyn amazing new art work has begun appearing in the studio. We hope to have new photos of these works available soon on musicalmud.com
