Aspen Teapot — Aspen Series
A traditional teapot with a wild streak. Lori hand-forms each teapot using her signature technique, stretching the clay from the inside out to open natural crack patterns across the surface as the piece takes shape — then glazes those cracks in black against the white clay body for a look that's equal parts elegant and untamed.
The details set this piece apart: a large, comfortable handle built for pouring, and a spout shaped like a tree branch escaping the body of the pot — a small, sculptural nod to the aspen groves that inspire the whole series. Each teapot is finished with its own unique lid, following the same one-of-a-kind approach as our Lidded Vessels, so every pot you bring home is genuinely one of one.
Simply add heated water and steep as you would with any traditional teapot. Please note: this piece is not intended for use on direct heat (stovetop, open flame, etc.) — heat your water separately and pour it in.
Because each piece is hand-formed, texture and size vary slightly pot to pot — part of what makes it one-of-a-kind.
Available in classic black and white, or with warm brown highlights.
Like all pieces in the Aspen Series, the Aspen Teapot is microwave and dishwasher safe (though we recommend hand-washing to help the glaze and branch detailing stay looking their best over time).
