Lidded Vessel — Aspen Series
Each Lidded Vessel is a one-of-a-kind piece — no two alike, and no two ever will be. Lori hand-forms every vessel using her signature technique: stretching the clay from the inside out, opening natural crack patterns across the surface as the form takes shape. Those cracks are then glazed in black against the white clay body, so the texture reads as part of the piece's history rather than something applied after the fact.
What makes each vessel truly one-of-a-kind is its lid. Every lid is crafted from natural materials gathered on our travels through the Colorado outdoors — some are one-of-a-kind finds specific to a particular vessel, and some are made from items shared by an individual buyer, carrying a piece of their own story into the work.
Each vessel varies in size and texture, and is available in one of two standard finishes: classic black and white, or black with warm brown highlights.
Because every piece is unique, we photograph and list each one individually in our gallery. Check the gallery for images and pricing of the specific piece you're interested in. Available pieces can be ordered directly if listed on the website, or you're welcome to call or email us to arrange purchase.
Custom lids: Have a meaningful item you'd like incorporated into your own vessel's lid? We welcome custom commissions built around materials you provide. Custom work is generally done on commission with half down and an invoiced balance upon completion. Contact us directly to discuss your piece.
